Prevention is easier than treating. When you suffer from heartburn, it’s best to avoid eating spicy foods and drinking alcohol, since these foods and drinks often aggravate your symptoms. Instead, drink lots of water to prevent dehydration, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and stay away from sweets and citrus products.
